Welcome to the Silence

This is the official band page for Breath In The Silence. We are a teen metal core band from Mooresville, IN. The story of th band's formation begins with another band, Raid of Change. Raid of Change was a band who had gone through 50 different band names, five guitar players, and Hell as a band. Brandon T. Clem, (B.I.TS.'s Lead guitarist and singer, Relevant Conflict's bass player and singer), had started Raid of Change with Brian Wooldridge and Josh Darrenkamp, two 6th grade school friends of his. Josh slowly fell from the band, literally not knowing how to play an instrument. Brandon and Brian had gone through 4 other guitarists when Brandon (originally the bass player) picked guitar up for lack of players. Two years later, with the band lineup having Jared Dowell on bass and Brenden Birkla on rhythm guitar, they played a fair two songs at Brandon's girlfriend at the time's halloween party, with Bullet For My Valentine's "Waking The Demon", and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Immediately after the gig, Jared suggested a guy he said was a great player, as an auxialiary guitarist. McKay Schindler (B.I.T.S.'s rhythm guitarist, vocalist) and Brandon T. Clem decided to form Unknown Martyr when Raid of Change was doing absolutely nothing. Five months later, McKay came up with Breath In The Silence (B.I.T.S.). While Brandon was dating James Fawcett's(ex-SoulSik rhythm guitarist) little sister, he sat in and listened to James play with SoulSik in the Fawcett's garage, and thought the lines were incredible. This is what inspired B.I.T.S's sound the most. Now, B.I.T.S. (yea, sure, call it "bits" if you have to, who gives a damn) is evolving as a band, playing small gigs around Indiana's southern half.
